Upon registration, I will set up a 1:1 Zoom call with each player. This lets me meet the player to ensure they are an appropriate age to play on the server they have registered for, and gives me an opportunity to get them started in the worlds.

Adults are ONLY allowed in the Family servers IF they have a verified connection to a student player who has opted into the Family server. The Family server is the only place where adults will play in the same worlds as students.

Yes. You do need to have your own Minecraft account to participate in our group. Your Minecraft account is a one-time purchase, so once you have it, it's yours for life!

The two main versions of Minecraft are Java and Bedrock. An over-simplified explanation is that Java Minecraft is created primarily using the Java programming language while Bedrock is created using primarily the C++ programming language. Java Minecraft is ONLY available on computers running Windows, macOS, or Linux (not tablets or "Chromebooks"), while Bedrock is available on all devices EXCLUDING Apple computers. If you play Minecraft on a tablet, phone, gaming system (XBox, Switch, Playstation), or Chromebook you play the Bedrock edition. If you play on a Windows-based computer, you have the option of using either the Bedrock or Java edition of the game.

Reefcraft servers are configured for cross-platform play! This means that we can allow players using Bedrock and Java devices to play together. There are some things that don't render properly with cross-platform play but we love being able to include everyone!

Minecraft EDUCATION accounts will not connect to the reefcraft.club server network.

Please register for the FREE Test World Access to make sure that your device will connect to our server networks. Once your registration has been received, you will get an email with the Test World login information to test and make sure your device will connect to our servers!

In order to minimize costs and avoid auto-renewal of subscriptions to maintain access, our current structure is annual plans ONLY. We have found that the annual plan is the most economical for minimizing the administration costs of tracking changes to the player whitelist. In addition, we have found that the busyness of life means that some months we have more time to play than others. The pricing plan we have put into effect takes into account those ebbs and flows. 

It may seem counter-intuitive that a family-based server would require registration for each individual. However, each additional player on our servers adds to the server load and resources needed to keep our servers running smoothly. To help offset these costs, enter the code 'Family' to get 10% off your entire order. If you already have a family member enrolled and wish to add another, please email us with the currently enrolled family member, and we will respond with a coupon code for you to apply the discount to subsequent family registrations. **EXCEPTION: If you register with a partner school, the family discount will not be applied. Yes. Occasionally, I will need to take a week off from Zoom. Zoom will NOT be held the week of Thanksgiving, the week of Christmas, or during Spring Break. Exact dates will be communicated in advance via Groups and monthly newsletters.

Our Elementary and Junior High/High School Creative and Survival worlds will reset at the end of every summer in August. The exact dates will be communicated to the groups as they approach.

The Family and Adult Server Creative and Survival worlds will also have resets, but these will be based on player interaction and requests. We anticipate these resets to happen much less frequently, even as much as 2-3 years between resets.
 

At server reset, the world files from the "closed" worlds will be made available for download to all reefcraft.club players for personal use.

The best thing about Minecraft is the continual addition of new features to the game! When new updates drop AND our supporting software also updates to work with the new updates, the worlds will be pruned (removing chunks that do not have player builds or regular player interaction within them) and updated to the newest version of Minecraft. This will allow the new features to be available closer to spawn as well as keep the final world size more manageable for download. As with server resets, exact dates will be communicated before updates are applied so that players can plan for when they will have access to the new features.

While I fully support your ambitions to have a following on social media, player safety is of utmost concern to me. Livestreaming is ONLY allowed on the adult servers. Recording videos is allowed on the Adult and Jr High/High School servers with the following requirements:
1. NO username can be shown at any time, whether through chat, player ID, or in the tab list, EVEN IF they have given legal consent to appear in your videos
2. You MUST have legal consent (meaning by someone over the age of 18) for anyone appearing in your video
3. You MUST communicate directly with Mrs. Coral, informing her of your intent to make content on the servers, and sharing the content made for verification that these restrictions are followed.
Failure to abide by these rules will result in immediate removal from the servers with no refunds of subscription costs.
